I've had a first music session at work. This turns out to be lots of fun. Playing all sorts. Any songs that come up. Initially a jam session now something a little more serious. Just David and I at the moment but that momentum could grow to include others.
David is the CEO of the company I work for but when we play music, he's just another guy and a passionate musician. Some other guys & gals should be joining us at some point but we managed to go through a few songs.

Is everything I do directed toward the greater wellbeing of some other power(s)?

barber boats and plains adagio

Burt bacharach trains and boats and plains. A new find on the tennis court.
Actually this is about Samuel Barber, whose music I have recently discovered. Did you know about it?
Adagio for strings is now my most wanted piece.
I have acquired (shall we say) lots of other works by Barber and I'm very impressed.
I love his stuff!
I have 5 versions of his Trains and boats and plains (Call it adagio for strings if you like).
Don't ask my why the connection with Burt Bacharach, no idea.

The version by conductor Thomas Schippers with the NYPO, is best. Tom did a great job. I got to get more of his stuff. There's not a lot of info on Schippers, may he rest in peace, since he died of lung cancer at the age of 47 in 1977. Apparently he's renowned for his interpretations of opera.

Am I psychic?
Is it too much to assume that:
-when I know that my bank has been open for 3 days,
-my wages check has been sent a week ago,
-2 of the 5 working days were xmas,
-I've just checked my balance online and the money's not there,
-I ring the bank and ask them about the cheque,
-they tell me that it was just processed 3 minutes ago after I've been on hold for 2 minutes!,

-I'm psychic?
